Mitchell Road Antique & Design Centre

Lyn Richardson founded this warehouse antique centre two decades ago in Alexandria's big yellow building on Mitchell Road before relocating to a 2,300-square-metre space on Bourke Road. Industrial relics, mid-century furniture, lighting, jewellery, vintage fashion and Americana are all in the mix — the kind of place where film crews also come to source props.

Seventy-plus stallholders across 2,100 square metres of Alexandria warehouse, open every day. Furniture, art, collectables, decor — stock shifts with whoever's brought what in. The Botany Road address puts it squarely in the city's design-industry corridor. Worth a morning.
