ILL-GOTTEN GAINS

Taya Saturn opened Ill-Gotten Gains on George Street in Thebarton in 2012, in a former band rehearsal room across from the Wheatsheaf Hotel. Saturn came from costuming, and the shop reads that way: deep-red velvet curtains, vintage Turkish chandeliers, racks of original vintage alongside imported alternative and pin-up labels — Vixen by Micheline Pitt, Laura Byrnes, Pin-Up Girl Clothing. Stock runs XS to 6XL. Open Friday through Sunday; out-of-hours personal dressing appointments by arrangement.
