Magill Road in Norwood has long been Adelaide's furniture strip, and this shop has carved out a specific niche within it: Australian mid-century names like Parker, Fler, Grant Featherston, Tessa and Chiswell, restored on-site and sold alongside rarer imported pieces from Scandinavia, the United States and Britain. Teak dominates, as it should for the era, turning up in bedsides, sideboards and dining suites alongside retro lamps and radiograms that have survived in genuinely good condition rather than being re-veneered into something unrecognisable. The restoration work is done in-house and has built its own following, with customers as likely to bring in a tired piece for repair as to buy something finished off the floor. The shop has picked up national attention, including a feature in The Australian's Wish magazine, on the strength of a hand-picked stock rather than scale. Open across a genuinely public four days a week, it is the kind of shop where the same names keep reappearing across different pieces, and the sense of a considered, single-era collection rather than a general secondhand float is hard to miss.
